Privacy Smartphone Blackphone Launches at 2014 Mobile World Congress

The Blackphone has made its debut at the Mobile World Congress 2014. Created by SGP Technologies, it is a joint venture between Silent Circle and Geeksphone, and it features a unique Android based system called PrivatOS.
On the hardware side, the Blackphone packs a 2 GHz quad-core SoC, a 4.7″ HD IPS screen, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 16GB of storage, Bluetooth 4.0 compatibility, 802.11n WiFi, GPS and both a 8MP primary camera with flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and more.
The Blackphone is currently available for pre-order to individuals and enterprises unlocked through the brand website with a starting price of $630.
