Still want your privacy even if you know it's pointless? Perhaps Blackphone can help. The new phone will run on a "security-oriented" version of Android and claims to be able to block out the NSA.

The idea came from Phil Zimmermann, and a venture between his company Silent Circle and Geeksphone. It will run on a forked version of Android called PrivatOS, which will apparently be very secure. No more tapping in on your phone calls, text messages and files.

The idea is to offer users "everything they need to ensure privacy and control of their communications, along with all the other high-end smartphone features they have come to expect."

The Blackphone will make its debut at the Mobile World Congress in February—and will be available for pre-order on the 24th of that month, which is the first day of the show.
