Although there have been false reports circulating of the YG ladies' absence from the 2009 Melon Music Awards, a representative from YG Entertainment confirmed that 2NE1 will in fact, be attending.

Even as a rookie group, 2NE1 has already made many hit songs and experienced explosive success with album sales and digital rankings. After the girls hit a total jackpot at MAMA, many fans are curious to see how many awards they will snag this time at the Melon Music Awards.

While Super Junior and SNSD are scheduled to appear at the Melon Music Awards, SS501 has declined the invite due to a conflict in their schedule with their Asia Tour Concert.
