Goo Hye Sun has ascended to the status of the BEST Asia Actress through the 2009 Yahoo Asia Buzz Award! This year marks the 6th Yahoo! Asia Buzz Award Ceremony. When the Yahoo's photosite has been examined and tallied, Goo Hye Sun has been found to be one of the stars most searched by the people in Taiwan. Also, she is ranked Number One as the 'Asia Female Artist'.
Boys Over Flowers Korean Version aired in Korea in January. Goo Hye Sun was the lead actress who played Geum Jandi, increasing her popularity. As the BOF Korean Version also aired in Taiwan, people's interest in Goo Hye Sun has become explosively high.
Whenever promotions take place, the airport becomes immobilized and the various press and media compete to capture the scene. This past September when Goo Hye Sun had her concert in Korea based on her new album, , various Taiwan media and press came in huge numbers to Korea. Interest in Goo Hye Sun is endless and she has become and becoming a successful Hallyu actress in Taiwan.
