Boy band 2PM's former leader Park Jae-beom may expand his singing career to musicals.
According to a source in the musical industry on Monday, Park's new agency SidusHQ has shown interest in a musical which will be based on b-boying.
SidusHQ hinted that the singer could be in the musical if producers can work around Park's schedule which including filming for movie "Hype Nation" and his Asia fan meeting tour. Sidus added that Park, who has a background in b-boying, is interested in the dance musical as well.
Park, 23, made his debut as the leader of the popular K-pop band 2PM but left the group and the country last September when controversy fired up over remarks he wrote on his MySpace account while a trainee at agency JYP Entertainment (JYPE).
He had been staying in the U.S. since, dancing with his b-boy crew Art of Movement and signing with American online media company Digital Media Wire (DMW) to manage his global career in the entertainment business.
The singer signed with major talenthouse SidusHQ on July 15 and has been filming b-boy movie "Hype Nation" since June.
He released his solo debut single "Count on Me" last week and will be performing the song for the first time ever at the annual two-day "Summer Week&T 2010" music festival on August 7.
