K-Pop's New Faces TEENTOP Hold an Event in Tokyo

On the 5th the new idol group TEENTOP held their "JCNxMnet TEENTOP Special Event" in Tokyo's Yamano Hall.

The general cable television company Japan Cable Net (JCN) and a 100% Korean entertainment channel Mnet collaborated for the event, and those who pay for the channel Mnet were able to see this season's artists live on stage.

TEENTOP is a six member idol group produced by SHINHWA's Andy. They debuted in July 2010, and this January they came back with their second single and are really into it. SHINHWA's Eric was in the MV for their new song "Supa Luv", and it caused quite a hot topic.

This was TEENTOP's second time coming to Japan, and it was the first event in three months since their first fanmeeting for their offical Japaense fanclub (http://www.teentop.jp). This day's concept was a school day, and they enjoyed their time with their fans in a classroom-like setting.

During Music Class they showed off thier dance skills with "Supa Luv". They showed us their rocking dance, jump dance, matrix dance, and blew kisses. Talking about events from the MV shooting for "Supa Luv" they spoke about Eric, who they all respect, saying things like "He gave us various advice, and stayed even after his own filming had ended and watched the monitor checking it for us."

During homeroom the members announced their dreams. They began speaking of their dreams with"I want to try as hard as I can wtih the rest of the members. And once we put out an album, I want L.Joe and I to sing and not just rap." (C.A.P) and "While protecting our friendships with the other 6 members like SHINHWA, I want to become a singer who can be loved by fans and become their strength." (L.Joe)

And then the rest of them also said strong wishes. "To have our abilities recognized by many people and reach the top." (Chunji), "To show the best stage and be famous around the world." (Changjo), "I want us to become singers that are known by everyone around Korea. And in Japan I want to get number 1 on the Oricon rankings." (Ricky), and "To stay close and friendly with all the other members like our seniors in SHINHWA and reach the top together." (Niel)

And, of course, at the event they also showed off their singing abilities. They sang the lead songs off of their first single "Clap" and "Let's Dance" as well as the lead songs from their second single "Supa Luv" and "Angel" for a total of four songs.

At the end of the event they energetically showed their will by saying to the fans, "We want to put out an album in Japan, not just in Korea. We'll keep doing activities in Japan, so please give us all your love."

Furthermore, the behind the scenes of that day's events will be broadcast on April 2nd at 11pm.
