Global content provider, dooub, Inc. (http://company.dooub.com) announced to release Super Junior SHAKE, the first of the Musician SHAKE Project with SM Entertainment. The Musician SHAKE Project is a series of rhythm-action mobile games with K-Pop “Korean-wave (Hallyu: 韓流)” contents that are gaining high popularity across the world.
Unlike most mobile rhythm-action games, the Musician SHAKE Project differentiates by launching specialized versions for each artist, allowing the fans to communicate directly to their favorite musicians through their music, images, concepts, and identities. The Musician SHAKE Project is expected to become a platform for global contents as K-Pop is on the rise in the global music scene.
Super Junior SHAKE is the first of the Musician SHAKE Project for a K-Pop star. The Musician SHAKE Project will not only have the traditional “TAP” style of gameplay, but it will also offer a new “SHAKE” mode, using a seamless-gesture technology, developed by dooub. The “SHAKE” mode will provide a new style of gameplay, where users may feel like a DJ scratching the turntable.
Besides the gameplay, the Super Junior SHAKE will provide the UGC (User-Generated Contents) Mode and the Card Deck System. The UGC Mode allows the users to easily create and share their own game play contents. It seeks to overcome the lack of contents that most rhythm-action games experience, and draw more participation from the users. The Card Deck System compensates the users with cards that fans can collect, which will include unreleased pictures of the stars. The cards itself can also be used as an item during the game to gain benefits. With these various unique elements of Super Junior SHAKE, dooub seeks to provide enjoyable and exceptional experience to K-Pop fans and gamers. They are also aiming at the global market by localizing in 13 different languages: English, Korean, Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), Japanese, Thai, Indonesian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, and Turkish. Beginning with SM Entertainment musicians, dooub plans to turn the Musician SHAKE Project into a new platform for K-Pop and develop into a communication channel between fans and the artists across the world.
