[News] 4 K-pop Groups Enter Year-End Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart!

MANILA, Philippines - Billboard has revealed its 2011 Year-end Charts and on the Japan Hot 100 chart, four K-pop groups have managed to occupy seven slots in the ranking.
They are KARA, Girls' Generation, T-ara and TVXQ.
The year-end Japan Hot 100 chart was topped by Japanese girl group AKB48. The girls’ singles “Everyday Katyusha” and “Flying Get” occupied the top 2 slots with two more songs in the Top 10.
Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” was third followed by AKB48’s “Sakura No Ki Ni Narou,”
Kaoru To Tomoki, Tamani Mucc’s “Maru Maru Mori Mori!,” AKB48’s “Kaze Wa Fuiteiru,” Arashi’s “Meikyu Love Song,” K-pop girl group KARA’s “Go Go Summer,” Arashi’s “Lotus,” and Avril Lavigne’s “What the Hell.”
KARA is the highest ranking K-pop group on the year-end chart, placing its song at No. 8. The group’s two other songs are in the Top 100: “Jet Coaster Love” at No. 12 and “Winter Magic” at No. 53.
On the other hand, two songs from Girls Generation are also in the ranking. “Mr. Taxi” is at No. 11 and “Gee” at No. 23.
TVXQ’s “Why (Keep Your Head Down)” entered at No. 30 while T-ara’s “Bo Peep Bo Peep” is at No. 86.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has also released its latest certifications.
TVXQ’s new Japanese single “Winter Rose”, which was released last Nov. 30, has been certified gold after selling 100,000 copies.
Three songs from KARA were also certified. The girl group’s “Girl’s Talk” album is now certified double platinum after selling 500,000 copies.
In addition, the “KARA Best 2007-2010” and “Super Girl” albums achieved platinum status for selling 250,000 copies each.
