IU will be promoting with her voice, not with looks!
Singer IU recently made her official Japanese debut with her first single “Good Day” which was released on March 21st. The teen singer will now embark on a five-city mini concert tour in the country in promotion of her single.
She will kick off her mini-concert tour in Tokyo on April 21, move on to Nagoya on April 24, Sapporo on April 26, May 2 in Osaka and May 3 in Fukuoka.
Usually promotion events for idols in Japan are handshake or hi-five events, however, in accordance with IU's wishes to present live performances for everyone, the mini-concerts were arranged instead.
The mini-concerts are expected to be similar to her Orchard Hall showcase on January 24th, in which IU performed “Mia”, “Raindrop”, “Good Day” and “Last Fantasy.”
A representative from IU’s agency, LOEN Entertainment stated, “There were suggestions for events such as handshake events, but we respected IU’s wishes and prepared mini-concerts instead.”
