2012.04.10
4minute recently released their new album "Volume up" on the 9th of April and their title song "Volume up" also hit the high marks on various online music charts however at the same time the song receives criticism for inappropriate language on it's lyrics.
For the lyrics on the song, there was a part where it says "Throw everything away" but it sounds like they are singing "Shut up" which is close in Korea making netizens skeptical. However a representative from Cube Entertainment said, "The song was just a way for the members to express their feelings and thoughts. Through the song they are saying that they do not want to be seen like an attraction but instead as singers with distinct characteristics.
Since in their past albums, they are known for the sexy image with their provocative dance routines, this time they want to appeal through their music and as singers themselves through their new album.
