2012.04.21
Korean five member male group B1A4 held the inauguration cermony for their official fanclub BANA JAPAN at Tokyo’s Shibuya-AX on the 20th of April. Member Gongchan started by saying that they had a ‘an important announcement’, that they will release their single ‘Beautiful Target’ on the 27th of June for their Japanese debut, to great cheers and applause. B1A4 said ‘We will work hard to achieve a first place ranking on the Oricon chart!’ (Jinyoung) and ‘We will work hard so that we will be able to hold a solo concert at Japan’s Budokan.’ (Baro)
At the inauguration ceremony, apart from individually presenting the members with the BANA JAPAN logo that was determined by fan voting, questions chosen in advance such as ‘Which member is most obsessed with cleanliness?’ and ‘Which member would you choose to be your boyfriend?’ were asked, and the members’ answers raised the excitement level in the atmosphere. When the question ‘Which member has the fastest reflexes?’ was asked, five fans were chosen by lottery to play a skipping rope game with the members. Afterwards, when the members hugged the fans, cheers that resembled screams resounded throughout.
On that day, B1A4 performed ‘Beautiful Target’, ‘O.K.’ and ‘Baby I’m Sorry’. ‘It is as if our debut was only yesterday, and it seems like a dream to be with all of you. I love you!’ (Sandeul), ‘We will draw strength from everyone’s love and do our best!’ (Gongchan) [t/n: he actually says ‘we will eat everyone’s love and do our best], ‘We will work hard so that we will be able to come to Japan often!’ (Jinyoung), ‘Please continue to watch over us so that we’ll be able to grow and develop in the future.’ (CNU), ‘I might not be able to sleep since I was so excited to meet all of you! Today is just the beginning. Please give us lots of love!’ (Baro), said each member with a smile. B1A4 will be holding a handshake event in the Kantou region on the 30th of June, and they will be holding a launch event on the 1st of July at Kanagawa, Lazona Kawasaki Plaza.
B1A4 is a five member group, and the members are Jinyoung, CNU, Sandeul, Baro and Gongchan. Their group name comes from having 4 members of blood type A and 1 member of blood type B. Also, it has the meaning of ‘Be the one, All for one (We will do our best for our dreams)’. They made their debut in Korea in April 2011 with their mini album ‘Let’s Fly’, and their ‘Gentle Breeze Dance’ choreography became a hot topic. In the same year, they released their second album ‘it B1A4’, and it was the highest selling album out of all the rookie groups in that year, and they won the rookie award at the 26th Golden Disk Awards.
