Crystal Chae from girl group duo As One is set to walk down the aisle in September with her former manager and lover of ten years.

Chae will wed an entertainment agency worker who is two years her senior at a ceremony on Sept. 16 at the COEX Exhibition Hall in Samsung-dong in south east Seoul.

The groom-to-be told Star News on the morning of May 15 that he was stoked and that he loved her more than anything. “Really, she’s an angel. There’s no-one like her,” said Jo Min-chul.

He also divulged information on how he proposed - a recent affair that involved a play in Daehangno, central Seoul. “I made our love story into a play and showed it to her. She had no idea and was touched by it,” said Jo.

The two met some ten years ago when Jo managed Chae. Back then, she was still a newcomer onto the K-pop scene after making her debut in 1999.

Since then, they’ve been an item but at a professional level, they are no longer together as Jo belongs to a different agency while Chae takes part in various TV and radio programs as a singer and host.
