Having scheduled to make their much-awaited comeback, 2NE1 will also embark a world concert tour, making them the first Korean girl group to do so.

2NE1’s world tour titled ‘New Evolution’ will kick off in Seoul, South Korea with a concert at the Olympic Gymnastic Stadium on July 28th and 29th. The group will then head to 10 different cities among 7 countries located in Asia, the Americas, and Europe.

This grand attempt will make 2NE1 the first Korean girl group to have its own independent world concert tour. In the past, there have been boy bands that have held their own world tours, but for a Korean girl group, this will be the first.

A representative from YG Entertainment stated, “2NE1’s ‘NEW EVOLUTION’ world tour will show an evolved form of the group’s past concerts in terms of stage performances and members’ talents.”

“Currently, there are 10 cities among 7 countries scheduled. But there’s a high possibility of more concert locations being added”, the representative added.
