At recently concluded 2012 Mnet 20′s Choice Awards held on June 28th, the successful Girls’ Generation subunit TaeTiSeo won the ’20′s Trendy Music’ award, which nominees include Big Bang, SISTAR, FT Island and miss A.


Besides that, Girls’ Generation were also nominated for ’20′s Global Star’ award, ’20′s Style’ Award (Sooyoung) and ’20′s Drama Star (Female)’ award (Yoona).

Prior to the award presentation ceremony, which was held annually in South Korea, TaeTiSeo walked the blue carpet and turned many heads with their glamorous fashion. The trio also performed their hit single ‘Twinkle’, which has swept multiple wins for many consecutive weeks from the weekly music programs.

After receiving the award, Tiffany was interviewed by reporters and she said, “We are very happy to be able to receive so much love while something that we love. It feels really great and we are honored to receive such an award (20′s Trendy Music). We shall repay with more great music in the future.”

Taeyeon said, “In Girls’ Generation, it’s the first time we tried to promote as a unit and we are thankful for the hot response towards the very different and unique challenge that we took on.”

Seohyun added, “We are very thankful to all Girls’ Generation’s fans who continue to shower us with lots of supports even though we’re promoting as a unit and not Girls’ Generation as a whole. There are still performances to come. Since we’re going to show you our best side, we shall work hard in order to achieve that. In the future, we shall repay the award we received with more great songs.”
