Wonder Girls’ Yubin is challenging in acting for the first time.

Yubin’s agency JYP Entertainment announced that the Wonder Girls rapper has been cast in cable channel OCN’s original TV series ‘The Virus’, which will air in March. She will play the role of the genius hacker and IT specialist Lee Joo Young. It is said that Lee Joo Young is a key character who supports Um Gi Jun (Lee Myung Hun)’s work.

Producer Park Ho Sik of CJ E&M said, “Lee Joo Young is a very dynamic character. We thought about Yubin from the moment we came up with this character, and we tried hard to get her in our team.”

JYP Entertainment also said, “The character is similar to Yubin′s actual image, so it seems she will be able to act her out comfortably and easily. She is casting as a very important character, and she is doing her best to not bring any bad effects.”
