On January 19th, a Japanese media outlet reported that Jiyoung is leaving KARA because of her boyfriend - Supernova's Park Geon Il. that she wants to leave Kara to study abroad once her contract ends.
It mentioned that they starred in a Japanese drama TV Tokyo "Rainbow Rose" together and they started to develop feelings for each other since then. Park Geon Il later also cameo-ed in Jiyoung's solo MV "Wanna Do".
In particular, since Park Geon Il was born in Germany and then he studied for many years in UK, this may leave a big impact on Jiyoung. They were rumored to spot at concerts together and Geon Il had a paper plane tattoo on his arm since Jiyoung once said on tv that she liked paper planes.
But despite all of that, DSP Entertainment denied the rumoor and said they are just close friends with each other.
