Do we really need side rear view mirrors? Tesla doesn't seem to think so. They're going to change all of that with cameras that feed screens mounted inside.
The Tesla, whose original Model X concept did feature a similar layout was dropped, though, and the concept gained the conventional mirrors it still has today.
Tesla’s chief of design, Franz von Holzhausen says they have not given up on the idea yet. They are “still in talks with authorities to get the necessary permissions," as a recent post on Californian journalist Alison van Diggelen’s personal site states.
It will take some getting used to for sure. What do you think?
