If you're still confused over what the movie 'Divergent' is about, here's a piece of good news for you - the studio finally released a video (above) that sorta explains it all.

There is, however, still no actually explanation as to why the world has erupted into a World War 3 or 4 disaster, but maybe they're saving it for the movie? That's a wild guess anyway.
