The words "
Electric Eel"
might not sound something like you would want wrapped around your junk,
but it's actually an innovative condom design that claims to make safe
sex much more appealing.
Designed by Georgia Tech students Firaz Peer and Andrew Quitmeyer, the condom is made from collagen derived from beef tendon which they claim feels just like human skin.
The official
IndieGogo page describes it as an "open-source digital condom prototype using electrodes and soft-circuitry." The design includes threadlike electrodes running throughout, which help to provide the type of stimulation condom-less sex can't.
The condom is still in very early stages of development, so here's hoping that the final design will be a lot less intimidating.
