Chinese design team,
Nanoin Design, has just fixed the most annoying thing about tape - finding the invisible edge when it gets lost on the roll. But rather than focusing on an elaborate dispenser that wouldn't lose the tape's edge, the team decided to revamp the tape itself.
Nanoin's tape has no glue at the edges, so you can just lift and start pulling. Thin black lines on the spool demarcate the glue-free perimeter to make it easy to locate the edges.
The redesigned tape has also won a 2013 Red Dot Design Award for its ingenuity.
