Taiwan's first newborn giant Panda was officially reunited with her mom after a month of separation. This YouTube video posted by the Taipei Zoo shows the tiny Yuan Zai's mom cuddling her for the first time. The loving embrace of the mother and child is totally heartwarming.
Since her birth on July 6, Yuan Zai had been separated from her mother Yuan Yuan after suffering an injury just a few days into her life. The cub was then moved to an incubator and required plenty of monitoring and care. Caretakers reintroduced Yuan Zai and her mother on August 11, but kept them separate to gauge Yuan Yuan's reaction.
