The son of China's richest man, Wang Sicong, has spent $516.7 million to build Shanghai's first seven-star hotel. Dubbed The Wanda Reign on the Bund, it will be locatedon the Bund, Huangpu River, and will open this Saturday, June 18.

The hotel has 179 rooms and 14 suites.

All are digitally controlled and equipped with wireless control dashboards, valet services boxes, Hermes or L’Occitane amenities, and the “Bed of Reign” that features “exquisite bed linen.”

British architect Norman Robert Foster designed the hotel.

The hotel will have a number of restaurants including buffet breakfasts, Shanghainese afternoon tea, and all-you-can-eat dinners.

It'll also have a French dining restaurant headed by two-star Michelin chef Marc Meneau.

It's pretty much extravagance at its largest.
