Leo DiCaprio may well be on his way to winning his first Oscar. And it's all thanks to all the pain and effort endured and put out for The Revenant. Leo had to spend some 5 hours in makeup to get 'wounded' for multiple scenes. They look horrific and real.

Makeup artist Duncan Jarman, obtained historical information about the wounds that Hugh Glass sustained so that the effect looked as true to life as possible.
