Who doesn't love Chanel? This Chinese model loves it a tad bit much. Also, first dates in China seem to be tougher than usual. A Hong Kong model allegedly stole a man's phone and threw it in the ocean after he refused to pay for her $25,800 shopping spree at Chanel.
The model, Yuen Ching-ching, claimed that the man had given her the phone before she threw it into the ocean when they parted ways.
The man reported her to the police two days after their date when she refused to return his phone. She couldn't because it was in the ocean, no?
The man, Lam, and Yuen had met through a mutual friend and they went on their first date. She wanted to pick out a present for her mother's birthday and they stopped by a Chanel shop where Yuen picked out an expensive handbag, a pair of earrings, and a necklace.
Yuen asked Lam to pay but he refused. The $25,000 Chanel bill was over his card limit. She borrowed Lam's phone to call her brother to foot the bill and went out but never came back in the store after that.
The model was sentenced one year of probation and had to pay $927 in compensation to the man for destroying his phone.
