Hip hop music videos very often feature expensive cars. And most times, they mention it in their songs too. A newly released study explores just how close that relationship is, but the study only goes back to 1995.

Cuepoint was able to come up with some interesting statistics about rap artists' obsession with luxury cars after they analyzed Rap Genius's lyric database.

Here's the data:

Mercedes Benz stood out as the No. 1 most referenced car in hip hop music. The second was Cadillac with 3,000 mentions, 1,500 less than Mercedes. Cuepoint also revealed which cars specific rappers would shout about:

Bentley and Ferrari gets most love from Gucci Mane.
Maybach gets most  love  from Rick Ross.
Cadillac gets most  love from Chamillionaire.
Jaguar gets most love  from Lil Flip.
Audi gets most  love  from Migos.
Jeep gets most love from Nas.
BMW gets most love from Action Bronson.
