Here's some good advice to always pay attention at the thrift shop. Vintage watch enthusiast Zach Norris saw this watch at a local Goodwill and immediately bought it for $6.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm watch he bought was actually worth more than he expected.

It is a limited 1959 release and the estimated value was nearly $35,000.

He had previously purchased a watch for over $40 that was later valued at $1,000. So he had experience.

Only 1,000 models of this watch were ever made and they were the first with alarms made for divers.

There was some damage, but was otherwise in excellent condition. The alarm also worked.

He decided to sell the watch to pay for his upcoming wedding instead of waiting for its value to escalate. Watch fanatic Eric Ku offered Zach $35,000 and another vintage watch in exchange for Zach's LeCoultre.
