Scarlett Johansson Signs on For Ghost in the Shell

According to Variety, Scarlett Johansson has signed on to star in an adaptation of Ghost in the Shell. She was offered the role in October but was still undecided at the time, and while it has not been greenlit for production yet, her involvement would probably make it quite likely.
Would she make a good Major Motoko Kusanagi?
Motoko Kusanagi is the protagonist of the show and is often in action sequences, something, Scarlett is no doubt familiar with since she's also the Black Widow in Marvel films.
But the role might be quite challenging and different, because Motoko Kusanagi is sometimes naked in the anime.
Yup, she basically fights without her clothes on.
