These White Lines Add a 3D Effect on 2D Animations

Here's a simple illusion that uses the effects of white lines drawn on 2D animations. The eye trickery somehow creates a 3D effect on them. Check them out below. It looks as if they're popping out the screen!
Just white lines:
Amazing isn't it?
All that was needed was the white lines.
