If you were a kid in the 90s, then you'll truly remember what life was like before the Internet. An interesting article from Quartz explores just what it feels like to be the last generation to remember that life. You can read the whole thing here, but we've also decided to round up a couple of things that you used to do back in the day.

1. Encyclopedias. Or books. Knowledge!

Today: Just Google that shit!

2. Passing notes in class.

Today: Instant message.

3. Putting film in a camera. Then removing it and getting it developed.

Today: Instagram.

4. Installing Windows 95 was a lot of work.

Today: Update over the air.

5. Your tape, looking like this. Rewinding or fixing it was common.

Today: Everything is digital.

6. Feeding your Tamagotchi.

Today: Feed your Tamagotchi through an app.

7. Your discman followed you around everywhere.

Today: It's all on your phone. Or on Spotify.

8. Not so long ago, MSN was still around...

Today: Facebook, Gtalk...Skype?

9. Doom. We won't miss those days.

Today: Definitely not 8-bit.

10. You had an art kit.

Today: Everything is on your iPad.

11. The oh-so annoying phone cables.

Today: Cordless. Or you don't even use landlines anymore.

12. Trolls.

Today: There isn't a substitution for this, thank goodness.

13. Transparent phones.

Today: Just smartphones. Yawn.

14. Gameboy. It was the best.

Today: Candy Crush. It is the best.

15. Awesome cool habits:

Today: You use an app to make your face fatter, voice change, and add a filter to your photo if you look really ugly under white light.

16. Hopscotch.

Today: We're just sitting at our desks or in front of screens all day long.
