I tried so hard to stay up for the 2014 World Cup opening but after thinking about it, I decided to go back to sleep. It wasn't worth it. Here are 15 reasons why I'll be skipping most of the World Cup.
1. I don't have that many "sick leave" days left
2. The matches are obviously too early in the morning for us.
3. The highlights are more fun (Ok, not at all, but they save a lot of time)
4. There's no one to watch the game with at that hour.
5. I'd rather catch up on Game of Thrones..
6. Replying work emails requires a major skill: You have to be awake.
7. My love for sleep outweighs my love for soccer..
8. I knew I would regret it after seeing Pitbull's pants.
9. Brazil would win most of their matches. Their defense strategy: score more than the other team.
10. I saw Uruguay play and their jerseys were too damn tight.
11. All the good matches are much later..
12. You pretty much can't predict anything - Uruguay vs Costa Rica 1-3?!
13. The fans are more entertaining
14. Reading the scores when I wake up is the best morning surprise
