Tyrese Gibson was really sad after Paul Walker died in a car crash on November 30. He said God sent him an email to help him heal.
That email's subject line: "Go to Dubai" with friends to heal.
Tyrese discussed his healing process in a candid interview on The Arsenio Hall Show.
Tyrese shared the Arsenio clip on Facebook — his first sit-down interview since Walker's death. "Spread love cause it will always come back," he wrote on Facebook:
A day after Walker's crash, Los Angeles Times reporter James Barragan posted an emotional Instagram video of Tyrese Gibson crying as he visited the memorial.
Universal Pictures scrambled to decide the future of the franchise following the accident, which has earned $2.3 billion worldwide since 2001. They had already started filming the movie in September, but production went on hiatus when Walker died. In December, Universal halted production indefinitely and released this statement:
Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul's immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers. At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise. We are committed to keeping Fast & Furious fans informed, and we will provide further information to them when we have it. Until then, we know they join us in mourning the passing of our dear friend Paul Walker.
The Fast and Furious franchise celebrated Walker's life with an emotional YouTube video set to Diddy and Skylar Grey's "Coming Home."
