Cuddling is a great way to bond with your lover, but this intimate series of X-ray portraits takes it to the next level.



Created by Ayako Kanda and Mayuka Hayashi, the portraits depict the skeletal couples in various forms of embrace. The shots were taken using a CT scanner and an X-ray machine.



So the next time your arm falls asleep because you're spooning with someone, at least now you now why. Lying on your side can really be a pain sometimes.
