So the whole Miley Cyrus on Saturday Night Live gig happened, and the controversial singer managed to avoid messing up. In fact, some viewers thought her appearance was downright dull. Here's a roundup of what happened during the show.
Cyrus started her monologue by announcing that she has officially killed her "Hannah Montana" character.
In a later sketch, Cyrus and her racy VMA performance gets blamed as the reason for the end of civilization in a post-apocalyptic America set in 2045:
Together with "Christopher Waltz", she spoofed Scarlett Johansson to take part in the "lost tapes audition" skit for the upcoming racy film "Fifty Shades of Grey."
She later dressed up as a slutty Michelle Bachmann to do a spoof on her own music video "We Can't Stop" which poked fun at the government shutdown.
Overall, the whole speculation about Miley planning on escalating her fued with Sinéad O'Connor during the show didn't really happen, which is kind of a relief since everyone is pretty much sick of trying to decipher those open letters on the internet.
