Buying a bra usually involves plenty of trial and error, but a new clothing company Thirdlov has managed to raise $5.6 million to develop a smart iPhone app that will aid women in finding their perfect bra fit.
The app works by using just two pictures of yourself in a tank top before rendering the three-dimensional data from the two-dimensional photos and finally calculating your precise measurements. It also shows you a selection of its own bras and underwear that would be the perfect fit.
So how did they come up with the tech? It probably helps that it was developed by a team of PhD’s and led by a NASA research scientist Ara Nefian. So there you have it, proof that the perfect bra really does involve a little rocket science knowledge.
