Just broke up? Then it's time to delete that number now. You don't have any more reason to give your ex a call. And no, you shouldn't even be friends. Because, if you do, science says you're a psychopath.
A new study says that only psychopaths and narcissists still gain benefit from relationships that are over.
The highest rated reason is because an 'ex is reliable, trustworthy, and of sentimental value.'
The lowest rated reasons were pragmatism and sexual availability.
Those who marked pragmatism and sexual availability showed results of "dark personality traits," like narcissism and psychopathy.
Individuals who scored high on dark personality traits tend to choose friends for strategic purposes, meaning they don't have any genuine reason to be friends.
So if you don't like being valued for utilitarian reasons, then it's best to delete that number!
