Bathing with your kids is kinda normal, but maybe not so much when they're a little older. In Japan, communal bathing is the norm, and children take baths with their parents up until junior high and even high school.

Both sons taking baths with their mothers and daughters with their fathers is a cultural norm.

A 2015 survey reveals that some 333 women in their 20s and 30s revealed they still bathed with their fathers in junior high up until high school.

10% of women in both age groups said they took baths with their fathers in junior high.

Under 10% said they took baths with their fathers when they were in high school. Over 5% of women in their 30s said they bathed with their fathers.

Sounds cringeworthy, but it's actually quite normal there.
