Imagine being a bride-to-be and you're busy taking your wedding photos on a beach in Dailan, China. And then, you abandon everything because you have to help someone who drowned. That's what Guo Yuan-yuan did.
She immediately sprang into action and began taking measures to save a stranger's life while wearing her bridal attire.
Guo is also a nurse in the cardiothoracic department at Dailan Central Hospital, and knew what to do. She knelt in the wet sand just inches from the water and tended to the man for a full 20 minutes.
Sadly, she couldn't save the swimmer's life in the end.
However, as the news and images of Guo’s work spread through China, she began to receive unanimous praise with many calling her “the most beautiful bride ever.”
