This Sainsbury's 2014 Christmas ad has been viewed on YouTube over 12 million times since it was posted on November 12th. The ad is inspired by real events from 100 years ago, and made in partnership with The Royal British Legion.
The chocolate bar featured in the ad is currently on sale at Sainsbury's where the profit of 50pc per bar will be donated to both past and present Royal British Legion's armed forces, and family members.
Sainsbury stated their decision to produce the ad despite of some critics received to the AP. "This year, we wanted to tell this story of sharing... Working with The Royal British Legion, we have chosen to do this through the lens of one of the most extraordinary moments in modern history, when on Christmas Day 1914, British and German soldiers laid down their arms and came together to share a game of football."
We think the cinematography is nice.
