At this point, China's smog problem isn't going away anytime soon. Tourists who come to visit the city struggle with the fact that there's not much to sight see. To appease travelers, China's biggest online travel agency is offering smog insurance.
The agency, Ctrip.com, collaborated with Ping An, one of China's leading insurance companies to offer $1-2, anyone visiting Xian, Harbin, Chengdu, Shanghai, Guanzhou or Beijing a guaranteed monetary return. The catch is that you'll need to suffer at least two days of pollution in a row to make a claim.
You'll only be getting about $10 (50 Chinese yuan) back per day, but we're certain your health is worth more.[China Daily via The Daily Mail]
