There's no denying that malls are here to stay, but the experience can be very different depending on what age group you fall under.

Here are the major differences between shopping in a mall when you're in your 20s and 30s:

20s: All my friends are here!

30s: Why is it always waaaay too crowded?

20s: You might run into someone cute.

30s: You inevitably run into someone you don’t want to see.

20s:Look at all the cool stuff for SALE!

30s: You never actually check out the products because you can't deal with the swarm of people.

20s: This is my most favourite store, EVER!

30s: I can't believe I used to shop here, and what is that horrible smell?

20s: OMG, I just love mall music!

30s: OMG, why do all the stores play the same music at ungodly levels?!

20s: Why won't the salespeople ever leave me alone? Do I look like a shoplifter?!

30s: Why do the salespeople completely ignore me? Do I look like I have no money?!

20s: OMG, I found something on sale that's just my size!

30s: Why doesn’t the store ever have my size when there's a sale?

20s: The mannequins are actually the stuff of nightmares.

30s: The mannequins are actually the stuff of nightmares, and way too skinny!

20s: Annoying tweens, don't they have classes to attend?

30s: If I ever spot my kid cutting class here, there will be hell to pay.

20s: First come, first served. There's no way I'm moving from this spot until my buddies show up.

30s: Look at those annoying 20-somethings, always hogging all the tables/benches at the mall.

20s: I could browse around here all day.

30s: My feet are starting to hurt... Why is everything Soooo faaaaaaar.

20s: The parking lot is too crowded, guess I'll have to make my own parking spot.

30s: There’s always some jerk taking up too many spots in the parking lot.
