Facebook is in need of a lot of buttons. One of them would be the Dislike button. Its Messenger app just received a collection of new stickers, one of which includes the thumbs down.
Facebook introduced the stickers in April to its web and mobile chat feature. The latest pack includes a sore thumb, peace sign, poke and thumbs down. The Dislike icon was first spotted by The Verge.
Users have always wanted a Dislike button, because it can be pretty awkward when there's no other option but to like a post or status that is sad or otherwise not of the likeable kind.
Several Facebook community groups are filled with people petitioning for the Dislike button.
To download the sticker pack, users must access the Sticker Store inside the Facebook Messenger chat session on a web browser or mobile app.
