A new device called Ninja sphere wants to control almost everything in your home. The gadget aims to keep tabs on things and pets in your home.
You can place a Bluetooth tag on your pet and the Ninja Sphere will be able to track its travels. It will also alert you when objects tagged in your house are moved, and alert you when you leave the heater or lights on.
The device uses a process called trilateration, consisting of three or more signals that overlap to pinpoint the location of certain objects.
The device is also open source, and users can configure what it will work with. The team's
Kickstarter campaign had raised $259,080 Australian dollars, blowing past its initial goal of $115,000 Australian dollars.
The campaign ends January 11.
