Say Goodbye to Winamp. Closing Down After 15 Years

The once ubiquitous media player known as Winamp will closing shop. The date: December 20, 2013. After running for 15 years, the news was announced alongside the release of the 5.66 version.
Nullsoft, creators of Winamp was acquired by AOL in 1999 for $80 million USD, and while they had intended to use it for AOL's Media Player, the app didn't quite take off. Then iTunes came along and everything was history.
The latest Winamp is still available for a little longer, head over to Winamp for Winamp 5.66.
