Apple's Mac Pro line gets more computing power now. It is a beast of a machine. The latest from Apple sports Intel Xeon E5 processors with between 4 and 12 cores and tops out at 7 teraflops of computing power with up to 12GB of GDDR5 RAM with a 30MB L3 cache.
The Mac Pro's dual standard workstation GPUs run AMD FirePro graphics which supports 4k video output and will feature 4 USB 3 ports, 6 thunderbolt 2 ports, 2 1 GB Ethernet ports, HDMI and 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
The price starts at $3,000 USD for a 3.7GHz quad-core Xeon processor with 12GB DRAM and dual FirePro D300 GPUs and will begin shipping later this year.
