Microsoft will be hosting an event on September 23 to reveal the next version of the Surface tablet. Paul Thurott at Microsoft-centric WinSuperSite, says, "Surface 2 will look and work almost identically to its predecessor but feature a faster TEGRA 4 processor and a 1080p screen."
Tom Warren at
The Verge says, "We're told that the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 will include a two-stage kickstand, but the main design of both tablets will remain very similar to the existing models."
Hang on just a minute. Why isn't Microsoft doing anything to the Surface? If you consider minor changes big, then it may just be a bad bet!
The original Surface didn't do well and changing the screen resolution and kickstant aren't going to help Microsoft move the needle.
Just how will this pan out for Microsoft?
