We've seen the SpaceX Grasshopper take off, hover and land vertically. Now, we'll see it zoom 250 meters into the air, and then FLY 100 meters SIDEWAYS. And then, it lands vertically. What awesome voodoo is this?
The experimental reusable suborbital launch vehicle is being developed by Elon Musk's SpaceX. The videos show that the rocket is very capable of vertical takeoffs and landings. Needless to say, space trips are going to get a whole lot more exciting.
