SD cards, to our naïve understanding, are a type of memory card used to store data. But are these little ninjas limited to this job? The world we live in is in a constant struggle of making lives easy. And by introducing technological advancements we are getting closer to our goal. These advancements include manipulations and the WiFi CF card is one such example.

Keeping it short, the nature of microcards has been changed and they are not used for storing information only. Not anymore. SD cards can now be read on devices such as speakers and projecting screens. And they provide wherever it is needed. Many of the people, if asked, cannot live without one thing, apart from food, WiFi. So packaging it into a tiny little chip, which fits on the tip of the finger, was one of the best things its makers did to the world.

Wireless Card
These are the SD cards which along with storage capacity provide WiFi to any device they are attached to. The chips in the card have shrunk to give space to an additional wireless internet chip but the storage capacity has surprisingly increased in these. The chip has its network and can connect people to the world from the remotest of places.

Capacity
Capacity is something nobody likes to compromise on, so it is a hard choice for people to choose between large capacity and WiFi availability. But thanks to the WiFi CF card, we can enjoy both the merits. The cards that have the WiFi chip installed work with a capacity of 8, 16 or 32 GB. Although this space is not wholly available for the user to use, because almost 500MB are utilized by the machinery of the card, but the remaining space is enough to store a lot of data.

However, to get the best results, you may need a micro SDXC card that is of class 10. Also, you need a device that is capable of supporting such formats and space. Having the gene of interest is of no use if you don’t have a capable host for transformation and replication.

Connectivity
If you are at a place where the signals are just fine, you may not face any issue. But as soon as there are obstacles, you will find it difficult to utilize the connectivity. Cards' connectivity ranges are enhancing with time, so with older cards, b and g classes were used. These were slow and not ideal. Now, connectivity of 802.11n is considered fine for wireless networks with the least obstacles. The best of the SD + WiFi cards work at a distance up to 100 feet apart.

The best chunk
It was a tedious and tiring task to shoot videos and photographs, then inserting the card in a reader and then to the laptop. Transferring the data took too long. But the WiFi CF card has put an end to this grind. With this card, you can connect your camera to the WiFi and can directly transfer any data you want to the laptop.
