Uber CEO Says Will Buy 500,000 Self-Driving Teslas If They Can Finish by 2020

This sounds like some great news for Tesla. They've only got a couple of years to finish delivering them. Tesla board member Steve Jurvetson revealed that if Tesla is able to produce 500,000 fully autonomous cars by 2020, Uber will purchase every single one of them.
That would mean even if you had the money, you wouldn't be able to buy them because Tesla's cars will be sold out.
Jurvetson claimed that self-driving cars would lead to decrease in the amount of taxis in New York and allow individuals to get a ride within 30 seconds of hailing one.
Tesla has been testing their autonomous cars since last fall, but has yet to make them available to public.
At the very least, your next Uber driver in 2020 won't be harassing you.
