Apple enters into the streaming business, joining the plethora of services that are out there. It's closest and biggest competitor would probably be Spotify. The music service app, Apple Music, will launch on June 30 around the world on all Apple devices and aims to provide streaming access to a 24/7 global radio station called Beats1.
So how did Spotify boss, Daniel Ek, respond?
In a now-deleted tweet, he said two words regarding the announcement of Apple Music:
Apple Music will cost $9.99 a month and a three month free trial will be available. It will also offer a family plan with access for up to six members for $14.99 a month. Apple Music will also be available on Android.
