Facebook Gets Serious. Will Pull Chat Out of Main Mobile App

TechCrunch reports Facebook is removing chat from the main app, in an effort to force people to use its Facebook Messenger application. The move would signal Facebook's latest aggressive play to completely take over your messaging life.
But haven't they already done that? Or shouldn't they just get everyone to sign up to Whatsapp since they paid a buttload of money for it?
Users in Europe have reportedly started getting the first of several notifications that they'll need to download Facebook Messenger to keep using chat.
